The 34th General Conference of the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) is being jointly hosted by the Oman Insurance Association and the Capital Market Authority and will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the federation.
The event will discuss opportunities and challenges of the insurance industry in the Arab region. The event is expected to draw over 2,000 participants from the insurance and reinsurance industry worldwide.

The insurance industry is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by evolving customer expectations, digital innovation and a rapidly changing regulatory environment. Insurance brokers, as the trusted intermediaries between clients and insurers, play a pivotal role in navigating this shifting landscape. In this digital era with InsurTech and the various modes of online distributions, the role of brokers is being further challenged. The summit will look at the basic strategic core value that new age brokers must bring to the insurance value chain and the challenges they face in the current scenario and the way forward.

The Risk Management Institute of Australia Risk Conference will be hosted in Sydney, Australia, and will bring together risk professionals from across Australasia for the largest dedicated risk conference in the region. Taking place at the Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf from 13-15 May 2024, the conference will consist of a day of workshops and the welcome reception, followed by two full conference days. As a natural progression from last year’s concept, the theme of the 2024 conference is ‘Leading the way’, which applies to individuals’ knowledge and organisational decision-making.
