The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has announced its latest Fellows, Senior Associates, Honorary Members and top achieving students at the annual Celebrating Success Awards.
Ms Rebecca Zhang of Guy Carpenter, Mr Matthew Abslom of Ansvar Insurance and Ms Karena Harley of WFI were honoured at events in Sydney and Melbourne for reaching the most senior level of ANZIIF membership, Fellow status. The three Fellows joined 29 insurance professionals who achieved Senior Associate status – the second highest level of membership.
Nine insurance professionals also received Academic Achievement Awards for receiving top marks for ANZIIF’s courses in 2014. Mr Peter Thompson of Cambridge Insurance Brokers was bestowed the rare title of Honorary Member for 40 years of ANZIIF membership.
Held in Sydney and Melbourne, the Celebrating Success Awards aim to recognise outstanding ANZIIF members and students and to highlight the role that education plays in individual and industry success.
“High performing insurance professionals are the key to the success of our industry, and education and training is an integral component of a knowledgeable, technically skilled and engaged professional,” said ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford.
“Through Celebrating Success, we are striving to foster a culture of excellence in the insurance industry and to recognise the role that education plays in professionalism. Our Fellows, Senior Associates and students all play a part in this.”
