SIRC announces Swiss Re incoming group CEO as speaker on first day

Swiss Re incoming group CEO Andreas Berger has been confirmed as a main speaker on the first day of this year’s Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC).
Mr Berger will become group CEO of Swiss Re on 1 July 2024 – and it has been confirmed that his appearance at SIRC will be the first time that he will have spoken at an event in Asia in his new role. It will also be one of the first times that he has spoken in a public forum anywhere in the world in his new role.
Mr Berger is presently scheduled to speak immediately after the guest of honour’s keynote address on the first day of the conference – and his appearance is being styled as ‘a conversation’ that will be moderated.
Singapore Reinsurers’ Association chair Marc Haushofer said, “We are extremely happy to announce that Andreas Berger has agreed to speak on the first day of this year’s SIRC – and follows the tradition of the conference attracting critical thinkers from the C-suite of our global industry.”
Mr Haushofer indicated that the next few weeks should see more leading names announced as speakers and participants in this year’s event.
The 20th SIRC will be held under the theme of ‘Revolutionize Reinsurance!’ and is scheduled to take place between 4-7 November at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.
