18 Jun 2014

Hundreds of thousands of volunteers helping police boost safety in the Chinese capital city against terrorism are covered by insurance. Under the insurance policy, the family of the volunteers on duty will be offered a payout of up to CNY400,000 (US$64,000) if they lose their lives or suffer fatal injuries in terrorism attacks. Disabled volunteers would receive insurance compensation in proportion to their injuries after they are assessed.
