Japan:GIAJ appoints new chairman

The General Insurance Association of Japan (GIAJ) has appointed Mr Hiroaki Shirota as chairman.

Mr Shirota is managing director, president and CEO of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, and director of Tokio Marine Holdings. He joined Tokio Marine in 1992.
