Malaysia:Insurers want buses installed with telematics

With the Malaysian Motor Insurance Pool (MMIP) facing annual losses of around MYR200 million (US$48 million) from bus accidents, insurers want bus companies to install telematic devices in their vehicles. The aim is to collect and monitor data relating to bus drivers on a 24/7 basis to be used to arrive at a risk profile score.
