India:Nat CAT events cost insurers US$2 bln in 2 years

Natural catastrophes have led to losses of nearly INR150 billion (US$2.2 billion) for insurance companies in the past two years. Major floods in Uttarakhand, cyclones HudHud and Phailin, and the massive Tamil Nadu floods occurred in the 2013-15 period.
