Labuan Re has appointed Cik Melissa Karim as acting head of underwriting and Encik Zaid Aziz as CEO and principal officer.
In her new role, Cik Melissa will be managing and strategising for the reinsurance underwriting department.
Cik Melissa joined Labuan Re in 2023. Prior to that, she worked with Aster Underwriting Agency, PWS Global Risks, Asia Capital Re, Marsh and AIG, among others.
Cik Melissa brings over 27 years of experience. She graduated with a bachelor in insurance studies from London Guildhall University, now Metropolitan University, London.
Cik Melissa succeeds Encik Zaid.
Encik Zaid joined Labuan Re in 2020. Prior to that, he worked with QBE Insurance Malaysia and Asia Capital Re.
