Despite stagnating growth, exciting times lie ahead for Malaysia’s non-life insurers. The economy is expected to do well, construction projects are set to take off, incomes are rising, and even the recent floods have raised awareness for insurance. On the regulatory front, insurers have been gearing up for RBC and the removal of tariffs – moves that are expected to strengthen the industry.
