AICLA concludes successful BI claims conference in Bangkok

The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) and Thailand Insurance Institute (TII) held a two-day machinery breakdown insurance workshop earlier in August. The event covered an overview of power generation facilities and the various plant and equipment involved in machinery breakdown policies, with industry veteran and AICLA international development director Jaye Kumar outlining how to effectively handle and manage engineering claims through technical knowledge, planning and a structured approach. Insurance consultant Pooba Mahalingam touched on machinery breakdown policy wording and clauses, while MDD’s Dan De Silva elaborated on business interruption issues relating to machinery breakdown cover.
