Mr Pierre Ozendo
is a true veteran in the industry. His charisma dominates international conferences,
and he is renowned for his hardcore business acumen and more importantly for
orchestrating Swiss Re’s successful expansion in Asia, growing it to be
the largest and leading reinsurer in the region. This month, Mr Ozendo steps
down as Chief Executive of Swiss Re’s Asia Division to assume his new responsibility
as CEO of US Operations, which will include the effective integration of GE
Insurance Solutions and Swiss Re’s P&C businesses in the Americas,
building on the combined strengths of the two franchises for the future. In
this swansong interview with our Editor, Ms Wendy
Koh, he shares his victories, visions and his list of unfinished
business in Asia.
