The marine insurance industry has been struggling for the most part of the last 20 years. Yet it has proven to be a hugely efficient market, where insurers accept risks transferred to them from their clients at very marginal cost. With the benefit of good regulations in the sector, the industry will remain so for the foreseeable future even as it grapples with new challenges.
