With the passing of the Insurance (Laws) Amendment Bill, 2015 by the Central Government and new draft rules for the reinsurance industry in the offing, the reinsurance segment in India is likely to see heightened action in the next few months with not only international reinsurers, but also a number of domestic entities planning to enter the reinsurance space.
