Nepal:People affected by floods file insurance claims to the tune of $94m

Nepalese people affected by the devastating floods and consequential landslides that followed incessant rains in the country on 26 September 2024 have filed insurance claims worth NPR12.87bn for damages caused by the natural catastrophic events.

I was saddened to learn about the event and surprised by the massive insurance claim. This would have indicated an amazing insurance penetration. You may want to correct the title as NPR12.87bn is equivalent to USD93.8 million, not billion.
