In a release from the insurance regulator of Thailand, the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC), it was noted that the Fifth Insurance Development Plan (2026 to 2030) will be a driving force for economic growth and national risk management.
It will focus on preparing the insurance industry to address major future challenges, including climate change, which is leading to frequent catastrophic disasters, the transition to a super-aged society, enhancing the quality of life and the application of digital technology in the insurance business.
The OIC also emphasised the importance of participation from all sectors to jointly determine the future of the Thai insurance industry and move it in the same direction.
