| 10 Feb 2026

Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) is continuing to tighten oversight of financially troubled insurance companies.

By the end of December 2025, six insurers and seven pension funds had been placed under OJK’s special supervision framework.

Mr Ogi Prastomiyono, Chief Executive for Insurance, Guarantees and Pension Funds Supervision at OJK, said the regulator is pursuing a range of measures under this enhanced monitoring regime to support the resolution of issues at affected financial institutions.

“The programme will be implemented for six insurance and reinsurance companies, with the goal of improving their financial condition for the benefit of policyholders. Furthermore, seven pension funds are under special supervision," Mr Prastomiyono said in an official statement, reported CNBC Indonesia.
