Gallagher Re has promoted Mr Richard Jones to the position of Chairman, APAC, and Mr Roshan Perera to the position of Managing Director, Head of APAC.
In his new role, Mr Jones will work closely with Mr Perera to execute Gallagher Re’s growth strategy in APAC.
Mr Jones most recently served as Chairman Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Korea, and has almost 40 years of reinsurance broking experience. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in APAC, having held regional CEO and Chair positions in previous roles.
He takes over from Mr Mark Morley, who is scheduled to retire.
Most recently, Mr Perera served as the leader of Gallagher Re’s APAC Strategic Solutions team, where he worked closely with the wider leadership team to develop and implement the regional sales framework.
He brings more than 25 years of experience to the role. Mr Perera takes over from Mr Mark O’Brien, who will be leaving the business to pursue new challenges outside of broking.
