Nepal:Recovery bill from catastrophic flash floods could total up to US$4.76bn

Nepal may have to incur recovery and reconstruction expenses exceeding NPR723.32bn ($4.76bn) post BhoteKoshi flash floods of 26 August 2026. According to official sources the Himalayan nation suffered actual physical and economic losses to the extent of NPR408.30bn.
