Zurich Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Mr Scott Yin as CEO, Zurich China, pending regulatory approval.
In his new role, Mr Yin will lead the next phase of growth for Zurich’s commercial insurance business, while expanding its retail business, and will work in close cooperation with Zurich Cover More, the firm’s Travel Guard offerings in the Chinese market.
Mr Yin brings more than 20 years of experience across the Chinese and Australian insurance markets, combining deep technical expertise with full P&L accountability. He has a strong track record in motor and EV pricing and underwriting, applying advanced analytics and commercial execution to drive profitable growth.
He joins Zurich from AXA Tianping, where he held senior leadership roles including Chief Actuary and Chief Pricing Officer. According to Mr Yin’s LinkedIn profile, he also worked with Suncorp Group, Quantium and EY. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.
