Cambodia's insurance industry has demonstrated resilience, posting a gross premium of $178.5m in the first half of 2024, inching up by 1% from $176.8m in the corresponding half in 2023, according to data from the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia.
The report said the growth was generated by 18 general insurers, 14 life insurers,seven microinsurance companies, and one reinsurer.
The total amount of claims incurred saw a significant increase of 18.5% to $34.8m in 1H2024, compared to 1H2023.
