Southeast Asia:WTW announces new appointments

Within its health and benefits (H&B) business in Southeast Asia, WTW has appointed Mr Fong Han Wei as head of H&B, Singapore Mr Lim Choo Ho as head of H&B, Malaysia.

In his new role, Mr Fong will lead the Singapore H&B business to deliver innovative and client-centric employee health and benefits solutions to organisations in the market. He brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at a leading international broker, and his expertise spans strategic consulting, governance frameworks, data analytics and benefits advisory.

Mr Fong has successfully managed top-tier accounts, led complex benefit projects and supported companies through M&A transitions and global programme implementations. He was also a commercial underwriter, having worked in a global health insurance company.

In his new role, Mr Lim will oversee the overall planning and business development of the H&B business in Malaysia, and will be responsible for driving business growth in insurance broking risks placement, benefits advisory and the flexible benefits segment together with his team.

Prior to his new role, Mr Lim led business development and focused on the benefits broking renewal business at WTW in Malaysia. He has 25 years of experience in the H&B industry, including in claims and operations management.

Mr Lim brings deep knowledge on market data benchmarking, benefits harmonisation and risk management for private companies and large-scale corporate clients across the region.

Ms Eva Liu, currently head of strategic development, H&B, APAC, has also expanded her responsibilities to head WTW’s H&B business in Southeast Asia (excluding Singapore).

In her new role, Ms Liu will work closely with H&B country leaders in Southeast Asia to accelerate growth and enhance WTW’s differentiated value proposition across diverse client segments in this region.

Ms Liu brings over two decades of experience in client management and consultancy. Prior to joining WTW in 2018, she held business development, account management and consulting positions in Hong Kong and Asia.
