China Reinsurance (China Re) has announced that Ms Zhu Xiaoyun, the company's Executive Director and Vice President, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and proposed President.
Ms Zhu will become the first female President in the history of China Re, once the relevant approving procedures are completed. She will replace Mr Zhuang Qianzhi who resigned from the post following his appointment as the Chairman of China Re.
Mr Zhuang replaced Mr He Chunlei who retired as Party Secretary and Chairman of China Re upon reaching the retirement age of 60.
