Swiss Re has appointed Ms Iris Cheung as Head, Life and Health (L&H) Reinsurance, Hong Kong and Taiwan, effective 1 November 2026.
In her new role, Ms Cheung will lead Swiss Re’s L&H reinsurance business in Hong Kong and Taiwan, with a focus on strengthening client partnerships and supporting sustainable growth.
Ms Cheung brings more than two decades of experience across advisory, finance, strategy, operations and client management. She has strong knowledge of the Hong Kong insurance market.
She has spent 15 years with Swiss Re. Prior to that, Ms Cheung was a member of KPMG’s Risk Advisory team. She is a Certified Public Accountant with the HKICPA.
Ms Cheung succeeds Mr Torben Swart, who has been appointed Head, Technical and Operational Excellence, L&H Reinsurance.
