Prudential announces leadership movement

| 25 Sep 2026

Prudential plc has announced the appointment of Mr Naveed Irshad as Regional CEO for Indonesia and the Philippines, effective 26 October 2026. He will also take enterprise-wide responsibility for the health and product businesses and will join Prudential's Group Executive Committee.

Mr Irshad brings more than three decades of insurance and financial services experience across Asia and North America, with deep expertise in actuarial, product development, distribution, reinsurance and global in-force management, as well as driving customer-led solutions and growth. He has a strong track record of leading large teams and developing senior talent.

Prior to joining Prudential, Mr Irshad worked with Manulife and RGA.

In Singapore, Prudential has also named Dr Andreas Rosenthal Interim CEO of Prudential Singapore, effective 28 September 2026.

Dr Rosenthal previously served as CFO of Prudential Singapore from 2018 to 2025. Most recently, he held the role of Chief Enterprise Value Delivery Officer at Prudential, working with businesses and functions to strengthen strategic execution and enterprise value delivery across the organisation.

He brings more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, and has held senior finance leadership roles across Asia, including in the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

This announcement comes in the wake of Ms Chan San San’s move to Eastspring Investments, Prudential’s asset management business, in the newly created role as Chief Partnership Officer.

The process to appoint a permanent CEO of Prudential Singapore is underway.
