Arch Insurance Australia has promoted Mr Andrew Whitlock to the role of Head of Casualty.
In his new role, Mr Whitlock is responsible for the overall leadership of the team, underwriting strategy and growth of the retail casualty portfolio across Australia.
The portfolio spans primary and excess liability placements across a broad risk appetite, with a core focus on products-led risks including manufacturing, wholesale, retail, importing and exporting.
Mr Whitlock was most recently the Northern Region Casualty Underwriting Manager at Arch, having joined the company in January 2026. Prior to that, he worked with Chubb in Australia and held broking roles at Brown & Brown in London.
