Following a dismal year impacted by a sharp decline in motor sales and the completion of infrastructure projects, the Taiwanese non-life market is looking towards new opportunities such as the sales of health products to give the industry a much needed boost. In an interview with Asia Insurance Review, Mr Tsan-Ming Shih, Chairman of the Non-life Insurance Association of the ROC (NLIA) shares his thoughts on the growth of this mature market, its good performance, the increase in foreign presence and the possibilities of further mergers in the market.
