Five of the world’s largest risk management associations, including the Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association (PARIMA), have agreed to work together towards mutual recognition of their respective risk management designations and certification programmes.
They signed a letter of intent in October, during this year’s FERMA Risk Management Forum in Monaco. Besides PARIMA, the other four risk organisations involved are ALARYS (Latin America), FERMA (Europe), IRMSA (South Africa) and RIMS (North America).
The letter indicates that the organisations will jointly draft a Memorandum of Understanding in the coming months, to establish the conditions under which a risk professional certified by one of the five associations will receive continuous professional development (CPD) points for attending any of the five association’s events.
