RIMS' inaugural China forum draws government and industry support

RIMS, the risk management society, held its inaugural China forum in Beijing on 22 November. It was attended by an audience of 200 which included Chinese government officials, state-owned enterprises, large private entities, academics and local risk management and insurance professionals.
The RIMS Risk Forum China 2017 covered a wide range of risk management trends, strategies and best practices for effectively managing evolving and emerging risks.
Dr Yao Qinghai, President of event partner Insurance Society of China, spoke on the importance of having a risk management programme. Other event partners which fielded speakers at the event include Peking University, the People’s Insurance Company of China (PICC), PwC, and Willis Towers Watson.
The RIMS Risk Management Forum China is one of several global risk management events the Society produced in 2017. Prior to this Forum, the Society had held events in Australia, the UK, Canada, Japan, India and the US. A
