Indonesia: Mandatory motor third-party liability programme delayed

Initially scheduled to come into force in January 2025, the implementation of mandatory motor third-party liability insurance has been delayed.
 
The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) is currently awaiting a government regulation before proceeding with the program.
 
No details have been released as to when the regulation will be issued.
 
Motor third-party liability insurance is currently only mandatory for vehicles purchased through loans from banks or multifinance companies. A
