India's only locally-incorporated reinsurer, General Insurance Corporation (GIC Re), has reported a net profit of INR23,368.7m ($280.5m) for the half year ended 30 September 2023, a fall of 8.3% for the corresponding half in 2022, according to a statement released by the company.
