Australia's most visited comparison website, Finder, has announced the winners of its Insurance Customer Satisfaction Awards.
Finder, in partnership with Dynata, a data platform company, polled over 10,000 Australians across the Customer Satisfaction Awards programme to award insurers across 18 categories spanning car, home, health, travel, life and pet insurance.

Budget Direct was named the ‘Most Loved’ home insurance brand and Youi the ‘Most Loved’ car insurance brand, with both companies rated highly by consumers across at least five states.

NRMA won ‘Most Loved’ for roadside assistance, with top scores for ease of application (4.7/5), customer service (4.6/5), features and benefits (4.5/5) and value-for-money (4.5/5). Meanwhile, 24/7 Roadside Assistance was voted as the ‘Most Trusted’ among Australians.

Western Australia’s RAC won the ‘Most Loved’ travel insurance brand thanks to high scores for customer service (4.5/5), features and benefits (4.4/5) and ease of application (4.4/5). Meanwhile, Tick Travel Insurance took out the ‘Top Value’ award with an impressive value-for-money score of 4.5/5.

In the health insurance category, Health Partners is ‘Most Loved’ by Aussies, thanks to its quality customer service (4.6/5), ease of application (4.5/5) and features and benefits 4.3/5, while HCF took the ‘Top Value’ award with a customer value-for-money rating of 4.1/5.

Australian Super won the overall ‘Most Loved’ award for life insurance thanks in part to its top score for ease of application (4.4/5) with Medibank taking out the same award specifically for direct life insurance.

The RSPCA is Australia’s ‘Most Loved’ pet insurance brand with high scores for customer service, ease of application and features and benefits, with Bupa taking the ‘Top-Value’ crown with a value-for-money rating of 4.1/5.
Mr Tim Bennett, insurance expert at Finder, said, “People put trust in insurers to provide the level of protection they need,” he said.
“The Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards winners deliver on their promises and get the stamp of approval from Aussies.
“Underinsurance is a major problem in Australia and can have significant financial implications. With insurance premiums rising faster than inflation, squeezing homeowners, drivers and private health customers it’s never been more important to scrutinize cover.”
