In New Zealand, HDI Global has promoted Mr Richard Upton to the role of Branch Manager and Head of Financial Lines.
In a statement on social media platform LinkedIn, the company said that his promotion “reflects the strength of his leadership, his deep specialty expertise and the confidence we have in him to lead the next chapter of our New Zealand journey”.
In his new role, Mr Upton will oversee all branch operations, drive market strategy and deepen broker and client relationships.
He brings over 20 years of industry experience across financial lines, professional indemnity, D&O, cyber, reinsurance and claims. Mr Upton also worked in the London market.
In Japan, HDI Global has also appointed Mr Daisuke Momota as Assistant Underwriter, Marine, according to a statement on LinkedIn. He brings prior experience in the marine insurance sector and will support the continued development and growth of the firm’s marine business in Japan.
