Malaysia:Private Retirement Scheme to launch first of 24 funds

The Private Retirement Scheme (PRS), a voluntary retirement saving scheme structured by private sector fund managers, will introduce the first of its 24 funds within the next two weeks, followed by the remainder in the ensuing months, reported the Malaysian Reserve. The fund is intended to provide employees with an additional option to save for retirement, and unlike the Employee Provident Fund (EPF), is structured to meet the requirements of the self-employed.
