UIB Group, one of the world's largest privately-owned independent international insurance and reinsurance brokers, has achieved a major milestone in its Asian growth strategy with the official opening of a new representative office in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
Having received regulatory approvals from both the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Nepal Regulatory Authority, UIB is primed to deepen its commitment to the Nepalese market. This office will report to the UIB Asia regional headquarters based in Singapore, further solidifying the company’s presence across Asia.
In a statement, UIB said that the expansion underscores UIB Group’s strategic commitment to building local relevance in Asia's fast-growing and diverse markets. by bringing expert knowledge and services directly to clients.
The company said, “With a stronger local presence, UIB aims to foster more dynamic, personalised partnerships with Nepalese clients, ensuring that our regional expertise aligns closely with their unique needs.”
