A record number of close to 1000 delegates from 45 countries have registered for the 18th India Rendezvous that kicks off in Mumbai today.
The event, for the first time is seeing an equal number of brokers, reinsurers and direct insurers in attendance. The three-day annual event to be held on 20-22 January is jointly organised by Asia Insurance Review and GIC Re. The event has moved to the spacious J W Marriot Hotel and will once again provide a platform for both insurers and reinsurers as well as the intermediaries to come together to take stock of the state of the Indian insurance market and the world of reinsurance in India.

With this in mind, this year’s theme for the Rendezvous “Insurance 2047: Achieving India’s vision” has been chosen as a call to action for the insurance industry to think big, act boldly, and lead the way in transforming India into a secure, prosperous, and resilient nation.
The India Rendezvous has been growing from strength to strength every year. Starting with 250 delegates at the inaugural event in 2008, the Rendezvous is today a must-attend event for anyone interested in doing business in India, drawing a record-breaking number of delegates each successive year. The event this year is supported by IRDAI, IBAI, IFSCA, and GIFT City.
