Allianz Trade in APAC has announced that Mr Tetsushi Kitano will take up the role of country manager for Allianz Trade in Thailand, effective 1 September 2025.
In his new role, Mr Kitano will head up the local team after spending more than 17 years with the trade credit insurer’s operations in Japan and Hong Kong.
Mr Kitano joined Allianz Trade in Japan in 2008 as a commercial underwriter, and became business development manager in Hong Kong and subsequently head of Japan desk. In 2017, he was reassigned to Japan as commercial director, and then once again to Hong Kong in 2019 as regional head of Japan desk, servicing Japanese companies’ credit insurance needs in a wider regional scope.
Mr Kitano holds a bachelor of law from Chuo University.
