The Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation and building professional capacity within Cambodia's insurance sector.
Director General of the IRC Bou Chanphirou said the agreement would support stronger collaboration between the two institutions through knowledge exchange and professional training initiatives, reported the Khmer Times.
The partnership will also focus on organising seminars, forums, study visits and research initiatives to address emerging industry trends and regulatory developments.
Mr Chanphirou said Cambodia’s insurance sector continues to demonstrate strong growth potential.
In 2025, the market expanded to around $367m, with 39 insurance companies currently operating in the country.
