The insurance regulator of Thailand, the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC), was among three regulators that launched the "Responsible Voices for Influencers, Batch 2" project. The other regulators were the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Bank of Thailand.
Forty-five financial influencers (Finfluencers) from various platforms were selected to participate in training on topics related to financial, investment and insurance information provision.
POC secretary-general Chuchat Pramulpol revealed that the project’s main objective was to create “positive influencers” who can present insurance, financial and investment information accurately, easily and with awareness of its social impact.
Mr Chuchat also noted that the OIC places great importance on cultivating content creators with insurance knowledge to share with the public.
