Canopius has announced that Mr Paul Hackett has taken on an expanded role as regional head of distribution for APAC, in addition to his existing portfolio as head of marine for APAC and MENA. He will also serve as a member of the APAC Executive Committee.
In his new role, Mr Hackett will be responsible for developing and executing Canopius’ APAC distribution strategy and strengthening broker engagement across the region.
Mr Hackett brings over two decades of experience. Prior to joining Canopius in 2018, he worked with RSA, Catlin and Aspen.
Mr Hackett chairs the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) Nominating Committee and the Lloyd’s Marine Development Group in Singapore. He is also an active member of both the IUMI Facts and Figures Committee, and the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) Marine Committee in Singapore. He is an Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) Fellow as well.
