Willis Re has appointed Mr Jim Summers as CEO, Global Specialties. In his new role, he leads the strategic direction and drives growth across all specialty classes globally.
Mr Summers will also help strengthen Willis Re’s global platform and support its long-term expansion plans by working with the senior leadership team.
A highly respected market leader with more than 40 years of experience across the Lloyd’s and international reinsurance broking markets, Mr Summers brings market-leading expertise across global specialty classes, strong technical knowledge and a proven track record of developing long-standing client and reinsurer relationships.
Mr Summers joined Willis Re from Guy Carpenter, where he most recently served as Deputy CEO, Global Specialties, and Global Head of Marine and Energy Specialty. Prior to that, he was CEO of Cooper Gay and Co.
