Sun Life Canada has appointed Ms Jessica Tan as president, effective 30 September 2024. She succeeds Mr Jacques Goulet, who is assuming the role of Executive Chair.
Ms Tan brings extensive global experience in insurance and digital innovation. Prior to her new role, she worked with McKinsey. Most recently, she also served Ping An as Group co-CEO.
Ms Tan is a member of the global business community and has been recognised as one of Forbes’ The World's 100 Most Powerful Women since 2019 and held a top five ranking on Fortune's Most Powerful Women for five consecutive years. She also sits on several global boards and advisory committees and holds a master of engineering and computer science from MIT.
