More than 3.5m people across Vietnam are set to receive pensions and social insurance allowances between 1 and 2 June, as local social insurance agencies roll out payment plans for the month.
According to Vietnam Social Insurance, beneficiaries in 21 provinces, including Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Hue, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, and Kien Giang, will receive their pension and allowance payments on 1 June.
In Hanoi, pension and social insurance benefit payments made through individual bank accounts will be disbursed on 2 June. Under Vietnam Social Insurance regulations, payments via personal accounts are typically processed on the second working day of each month. This year, the second working day of June falls on Tuesday, 2 June.
Local social insurance authorities are coordinating the payment process to ensure timely disbursement of benefits to retirees and eligible recipients nationwide.
Beneficiaries receiving payments through bank transfers will begin receiving their funds from 2 June. For cash payments, the Social Insurance agency will work with the post office to distribute payments from 5 June.
