The Thai Life Insurance Association (TLIA) is looking to upgrade its claims standards, and has already held a seminar, as conducted by the Life Insurance Claims Subcommittee on the topic.
The main objective of the seminar was to provide attendees with an accurate and up-to-date understanding of the principles, guidelines and structure of each category, as well as the scope of operations under the itemised billing system.
It also served as a platform for discussing and resolving practical issues member companies encountered, particularly regarding expense categorisation, data integration with existing operating systems and correct practices during the system transition period.
According to a statement, the TLIA noted that the seminar “will enable participants to apply the acquired knowledge and skills to accurately and efficiently categorise medical expenses”.
“This will be a crucial component in driving the claims processing in the life insurance industry to be faster, fairer and consistent according to international standards,” the TLIA also stated.
