IAG New Zealand has appointed Mr Philip Gibson as Chief Executive, effective 2 March 2026 and subject to approvals.
Mr Gibson brings over 30 years of experience in Canada and the US, including senior executive roles with Aviva Canada, Allstate and Travelers. He was most recently Senior Executive Advisor at Accenture.
He will succeed Ms Amanda Whiting, who has led the company since 2021. Ms Whiting will remain in her role until Mr Gibson commences in March 2026 to ensure a smooth transition, before returning to IAG in Australia.
