Thailand's insurance regulator, the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC), recently instructed a delegation and a number of insurance companies to raise public awareness about the importance of travel insurance.
At the event, the OIC and insurers jointly provided services to facilitate the public’s purchase of insurance products, which included coverage for death, loss of limbs, or disability due to accidents up to THB100,000 ($3,125).
According to a statement, the OIC’s outreach initiative has garnered significant public interest, reflecting increased awareness of risk management and the importance of insurance coverage over the Songkran season, with many travellers on the road.
